To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time Florida Licensed Outpatient Coder will abstract, code, and interpret clinical information from various medical records while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Abstract and code clinical information from inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department records, ensuring accurate sequencing of diagnoses and procedures Utilize coding principles and reimbursement expertise to assign appropriate codes and maintain compliance with external regulations Track productivity and maintain a quality rating of 95% or higher while adhering to company policies, including HIPAA compliance Required qualifications Florida Licensed Outpatient Coder certification Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical coding Expert knowledge of NCCI/OCE billing edits and hospital CVIR coding and billing Familiarity with coding conventions established by AHIMA, AMA, AHA, and CMS Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines
