Florida Licensed Coding Auditor

To enhance coding accuracy and compliance, the full-time Florida Licensed Coding Auditor will conduct post-bill coding audits, validate coding practices, and collaborate on education initiatives while working remotely. Key responsibilities Conduct post-bill coding audits to assess accuracy and documentation alignment across service lines Perform coding validation activities, including DRG assignment and modifier validation Provide detailed audit findings and collaborate with the education team to develop targeted training initiatives Required qualifications High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred 5+ years of acute care inpatient or outpatient hospital coding experience Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC) certification required Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and/or CPT/HCPCS coding and reimbursement methodologies Experience in coding audits or quality review preferred
