Florida Licensed Coding Auditor

To ensure coding accuracy and compliance, the full-time Florida Licensed Coding Auditor will perform quality reviews on coded records, provide education to coding staff, and assist with appeals for DRG denials in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Conduct quality reviews on coded records to validate ICD-10, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRG, and APR-DRGs Deliver continuing education to coding staff regarding coding and reimbursement system changes Review and interpret clinical documentation, collaborating with physicians to resolve discrepancies Required qualifications 5+ years of inpatient or outpatient coding or auditing experience Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Expansive knowledge of Medicare DRGs, coding guidelines, and reimbursement systems High School diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational school preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Encoder software
