To ensure accurate coding and compliance, the full-time Florida Licensed Coder II will review medical records, assign ICD-10 CM and CPT codes, and manage coding edits while working remotely within Florida. Key responsibilities: Review and assign ICD-10 CM codes and CPT codes for complex outpatient encounters Conduct audits and coding reviews with healthcare professionals to ensure documentation accuracy Communicate with insurance companies regarding coding errors and disputes for physician billing Required qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Certification as a Coding Specialist (CCS) or relevant coding certification (e.g., RHIA, RHIT) Two years of hospital-based outpatient coding experience or completion of an internal Coder Intern Program Strong proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and coding classification systems Ability to work independently and adapt to changes in the coding field
