Salary: $60,000 – $70,000

River Roast is looking for a passionate, energetic, and hands-on Operations Manager to join our leadership team. Located directly on the Chicago River, River Roast is known for its incredible views, lively atmosphere, large patio, two full-service bars, private event spaces, and memorable guest experiences.

At River Roast, every day is different. From busy restaurant service to high-volume private events, patio season, corporate gatherings, and celebrations, our Operations Manager plays a key role in making sure everything runs smoothly, professionally, and with great energy.
About the Role
The Operations Manager will help oversee daily restaurant and event operations while supporting Levy’s commitment to outstanding guest service, operational excellence, and team development.
This leader will work closely with the General Manager, culinary team, event team, bartenders, servers, supervisors, and hourly associates to create a positive work environment and deliver exceptional service for every guest.
What You’ll Do
Lead daily restaurant and private event operations
Support and supervise hourly associates and supervisors
Help create a fun, organized, and professional team environment
Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals
Support staffing, scheduling, and labor management
Partner with culinary and events teams to ensure smooth execution
Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care
Maintain cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and company standards
Support training, onboarding, coaching, and team development
Analyze labor, sales, and operational performance
Help drive guest satisfaction, efficiency, and financial results
