Floor Director - Americana Manhasset

Summary

Lead day-to-day supervision and development of the selling team to deliver exceptional client service on the sales floor. Drive Métier merchandising and buying preparation for assigned floors while ensuring visual standards and inventory accuracy. Report to the Managing Director, analyze business performance, and execute strategies to meet sales, budget and loss prevention goals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, mentor and train the selling team with consistent floor presence and leadership.
• Manage Métier merchandising, identify daily stock needs, and prepare for bi-annual buys.
• Develop monthly sales focuses, contests and campaigns to drive incremental business and team motivation.
• Analyze sales and productivity by associate; deliver weekly leadership updates and conduct individual productivity meetings.
• Prepare inventories and cycle counts; partner with operations to reconcile discrepancies and meet loss prevention goals.
• Represent store leadership in absence of the Managing Director and manage P&L and payroll adherence.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years prior store management or flagship assistant store manager experience.
• Prior buying experience relevant to floor responsibility and experience managing multi-person teams.
• Experience reporting to executive management and merchant teams; strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office; comfortable with calculations and formulas.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; ability to travel 3-5 weeks annually; knowledge of French helpful.
• Strong leadership, decision making, multitasking and client service skills.
