Works from blueprints, parts lists and assembly cards.
Uses parts washers, freezers, ovens, cranes, fork trucks, hand, and power tools. Will shim and final assemble gear units. Can work alone, with other assemblers, and oversees lower grade assemblers and May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.Job Responsibilities:Lathe experience helpful but not requiredGeneral shop safety trainingShop computers (EATRC, Work Standards)Parts washer useCrane operation and safetyProper use of chains, shackles, and strapsOven and induction heaters operation and useMust have the ability to be trained by peersHydraulic torque wrench use in including torque specificationsProper loctite use.
(sealants)Measuring equipment use(mic's, veneers.)Knowledge of bearingsBasic Knowledge of Lean and SPSRequired Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:A combination of formal education, training and experience to acquire knowledge and skills generally equivalent to those possessed by an experienced high school graduate.Typically 0-2 years prior experience in wind turbine assembly.
