- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients
- Conduct patient assessments and develop nursing care plans
- Communicate with patients, provide education and triage
- Coordinate and prepare for patient-physician visits
- Address medication needs and interpret lab values
- Build relationships with the oncology team
- Participate in research activities within clinical practice and contribute to nursing quality improvement
Requirements
- Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
- BLS certification required
- Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired
- Previous oncology experience in Ambulatory or Inpatient setting preferred
- Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice
- Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations
- Employees working in any Banner Staffing (BSS) Behavioral Health role in Arizona must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment
