Pride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist II  to support our client's healthcare facility in [city, state].

Schedule:  mon tues thurs fri saturday off on Wednesday 6a-3p
Location:  Saint Cloud FL 34769
Float / Coverage Area: Multiple sites 
Job Type: Local contract 
Contract Length: 06+months
Pay Range: $20.00 to $24.40/hour*

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  
 Phlebotomist - Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection from patients of all age groups.

• Verify patient identities and ensure accurate specimen labeling.

• Collect, process, handle, and transport blood specimens according to laboratory protocols.

• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.

• Prepare patients for blood collection and explain procedures to ensure comfort.

• Maintain accurate patient records and document specimen collection.

• Handle blood collection equipment, including needles, syringes, butterfly needles, and vacutainers.

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions, dizziness, or fainting during and after blood draws.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe phlebotomy station.

• Ensure proper specimen storage, handling, and timely delivery to the laboratory.

• Perform quality control checks and maintain adequate inventory of phlebotomy supplies.

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient confidentiality.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.

• Phlebotomy certification (CPT, NHA, ASCP or equivalent) preferred or required, depending on the employer and state.

• Clinical training or hands-on experience in venipuncture and specimen collection preferred.
