Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and review of patient medication profiles
  • Review and verify physician medication orders and patient medical record
  • Check IV products
  • Interact with healthcare professionals and providers to promote safe medication use, prevent inappropriate or misuse of medications
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services (pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchange, IV/PO conversions, clinical protocols per pharmacy and pharmacist interventions)

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
  • ASHP-accredited PGY2 oncology residency or at least a minimum of 1 year of pharmacy practice experience in oncology
  • Recent clinical oncology experience (within 5 years)
  • Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP) preferred
  • Previous infusion pharmacy experience preferred
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations
  • Required to have the ability to travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health

Schedule

Monday–Friday, variable hours (hours may vary based on departmental needs). Required to have the ability to travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health.
