WeareseekingaFlightTestTeamLeadtoacceleratethedevelopmentandtestingofournewadvanceairmobilityvehicle.Thispersonwillleadtheflighttestengineeringandoperationsteamtosafelyperformtheon-groundandin-flightdutiesinsupportofthepassengertransportaircraftintendedtopartakeintheUrbanAirMobility(UAM)/AdvancedAirMobility(AAM)andfutureproductdevelopment.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-daymanagementoftheflighttestteammembersincludingpilotsandengineersbymaintainingascheduleoftasksanddeliverables
- Applycollaborativeapproachwithtoflighttestteamtoexecuteflyingonboardexperimentalaircraftand/orunmannedflyingvehicleoperationasacrewvmemberfollowingappropriatetraining.
- Communicationandcoordinationofeffortsrelatingtotestingactivitieswithallotherdisciplines
- Testdocumentationandreporting,includingtechnicalreviewandgenerationoftestplans,instructions,testlimitationsandpostflightreports.
- Coordinationoftestaircraftandexperimentalequipmentconfigurationfortest.
- Conductandimplementsafetyandriskmitigationproceduresasdefinedbycompanypolicies,andcompliancewithFAARegulations(befamiliarwithFAAOrder B).
- Ensuretestteamisadequatelytrainedfortheappropriatemissionsincludingmannedandunmannedaircraftoperationsandtelemetryroomstaff.
Qualifications
- Bachelorsdegree
- 10+yearstestexperienceexperienceworkinginaircraftdevelopmentprojectswithhands-onflighttestengineeringorflighttestpilotexperienceworkinggroundand/orflighttest
- Experienceleadingflighttestprogramsorprojects
- Fundamentalknowledgeofaircraftperformance,mechanical,structure,material,
- andelectricalengineeringwithaeronauticalengineeringisrequired.
- Full-timeworkingon-siteatthecompanyflighttestcenterand/orofficerequired.
- ExperienceintheFlightTestandCertificationrolesoratleastonefullFAA
- certificationprogramPart23/25/27/29(fromfirstflighttocertification).
- Privateorcommercialpilotlicense
