We are looking for engineers with experience in the full software product lifecycle, including design, development, verification, and deployment.Job Responsibilities and DutiesDesign and develop flight software components to support various needs and domains enabling autonomous flightDesign, implement, and test software according to aerospace industry standards including DO-178CParticipate in contextualizing software development within the framework of ARP4754B, ARP4761A, and related standardsParticipate and conduct design and code reviewsDevelop and employ software verification toolsImplement and maintain software development and configuration control best practices to reliably deliver softwareWork within a team of engineers to produce software systems that meet customer requirementsRequired Qualifications and SkillsPrior experience with software development and verification per DO-178C or similarly rigorous processesBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline and 5+ years of related experienceExperience developing and deploying software for embedded systemsWorking knowledge of the C and/or C++ languagesStrong understanding of data structures and algorithmsSkilled in writing tests and designing for testabilityStrong communication skillsExperience with LinuxDesired ExperienceExperience developing software for real-time operating systemsDevelopment of flight softwareDevelopment and testing of mobile robots, especially UASUse of Formal Methods for logic verification of softwareExperience building production-scale applications through at least one full development lifecycleBenefitsCompensation compatible with qualificationStock options401(k) planHealth, dental, and vision benefitsPaid-time off and parental leaveLife insurance, long-term and short-term disability benefitsDue to the nature of Near Earth's funding, this position is restricted to US persons.
