nYou will be the Flight Line Electrician - C130 for the team which is responsible for determining methods, tools, operations, and sequences necessary to rework, check out, and service complex aircraft electrical systems equipment.
nWhat You Will Be Doing
nAs the Flight Line Electrician - C130, you will be responsible for mocking up, fabricating, and installing experimental systems and equipment and performing final flight-servicing, troubleshooting, and operational checkout before and after flight to ensure airworthiness and conformance to applicable design specifications.
nYour responsibilities will include:

Conducting power plant runs or working with mechanics in conducting such runs; making adjustments and replacements of electrical components and accessories

Investigating any malfunctioning of electrical equipment before and after flight test; analyzing systems and diagnosing trouble

Performing necessary operations to correct trouble, including replacing or repairing defective components such as solenoids, selsyns, light bulbs, thermocouples, electric motors, fuses, and circuit breakers and instruments and gauges

Checking output of ship's generator and functioning of aircraft electrical accessories to company and/or customer inspection when required

Incorporating design changes into complex aircraft electrical systems, generators, and functional assemblies as called out in blueprints or other authorized documents

nThe ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced electrician with a strong knowledge of complex aircraft systems and their components. You will have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to read and interpret detail and assembly blueprints, charts, wiring diagrams, electrical handbooks, and other authorized documents, and the ability to utilize sophisticated state-of-the-art computerized system test equipment to diagnose and repair complex systems.

nBasic Qualifications:
nFour (4) years' experience within the past twelve (12) years in Flight Line Aircraft Electrical Systems maintenance, functional checkout, preflight, troubleshooting, and correction of flight squawks. Experience must have been actual flight line work on live Aircraft Electrical Systems.
nThe following education and/or experience which was received within the past twelve (12) years may be used to offset a portion of the first two (2) years of experience requirements as stated below:
no Aircraft technical school training may be included in the four (4) year minimum requirement for persons spending four (4) years in Military service.
no A two (2) year Associate Degree program in Aviation/Electrical Technology may be substituted for one (1) year of experience.
no A four (4) year Bachelors Degree program in Aviation/Electrical may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
no Each year of Active Reserve/National Guard Aircraft Electrical Systems duty may be substituted for two (2) months of experience up to a maximum of sixteen (16) months.
nOR
nA graduate, within the last six (6) months, of a certified Aircraft Systems Electrical/Electronics Apprenticeship Program which is typically 8,000 hours and includes OJT experience maintaining aircraft. LASCs 6,000 hours program is acceptable.
nNOTE: "Live" aircraft refers to aircraft with all functional systems operable and with the aircraft's fuel and oxygen systems activated. "Live" aircraft experience includes working in the preparation for and release of aircraft for flight and includes knowledge of and experience in dealing with aircraft systems such as: fuel systems, liquid/gaseous oxygen, hydraulic, electrical, flight controls, landing gear, emergency egress equipment and engines.

nAbility to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
