Its employees consistently rank Moss as one of the best places to work.POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACTThe Fleet Safety Specialist supports and advances Moss’s non-DOT fleet safety program.This position is responsible for administering fleet safety processes, monitoring driver performance, coordinating incident follow-up, delivering safety training and using fleet safety data to identify trends and reduce vehicle-related risk. The Fleet Safety Specialist partners closely with Operations, Human Resources, Asset Management, Risk Management, Insurance and field leadership to promote a proactive safety culture among employees who operate company vehicles.  This role also collaborates with the DOT Safety Specialist and Director of Fleet Safety & DOT Compliance on matters involving DOT-regulated drivers or vehicles. This positive requires travel of up to 20% to various locations throughout the Unites States to conduct fleet safety training, support field audits and assist with safety initiatives.   ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate the administration of the company's non-DOT fleet safety program in partnership with the Director of Fleet Safety & DOT ComplianceAssist with implementation and maintenance of fleet safety policies, procedures, and driver safety initiativesCoordinate company vehicle accident reporting, documentation, and follow-up activitiesAssist with vehicle accident investigations by gathering documentation, interviewing drivers, and maintaining investigation filesMonitor telematics, dash camera events, and driver performance reports to identify unsafe driving behaviors and communicate findings to field leadershipCoordinate driver coaching assignments and monitor completion of corrective actions following vehicle incidents or unsafe driving eventsMonitor Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) reports for non-regulated drivers and communicate driver eligibility concerns to managementMaintain fleet safety records, reports, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completenessAssist with onboarding of new drivers by coordinating required fleet safety training and policy acknowledgmentsCoordinate recurring fleet safety communications, training assignments, and awareness campaignsCompile fleet safety metrics and prepare routine reports identifying trends in vehicle crashes, driver behaviors, and other fleet safety performance indicatorsAssist with field fleet safety audits and follow up on identified corrective actionsCoordinate with Operations, Human Resources, Asset Management, Risk Management, and Insurance representatives regarding fleet safety mattersSupport administration of fleet safety technology platforms including Geotab, dash camera systems, and other fleet safety applicationsMaintain knowledge of fleet safety best practices and company policies to provide day-to-day support to field operationsCollaborate with Human Resources, Asset Management, and Supervisors to ensure compliance with MVR standards and mandated trainingConduct thorough assessments to identify gaps in the fleet safety process and devise proactive solutionsDeliver engaging and effective fleet safety training sessions to employees at various locations, to ensure compliance with Moss and relevant regulatory standardsUtilize advanced analytics to identify and analyze trends and patterns in fleet safety data and make data-driven recommendations to improve fleet safety performanceCommunicate regularly with both field management and senior management to provide guidance and updatesDemonstrates depth of knowledge & competency with applicable fleet safety regulations and industry standardsStay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in fleet safety compliance and incorporate them into fleet safety program strategies and initiativesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite programs, and familiarity with fleet safety analytics such as Geotab, SharePoint, Intelex, In-Cab TechnologiesPerform other duties as assignedSKILLS AND COMPETENCIESMinimum of 5 years of fleet safety, transportation safety, risk management, or EHS experienceStrong knowledge of non-DOT fleet safety principles, vehicle incident prevention, driver behavior management and fleet risk mitigationAbility to analyze telematics, dash camera, accident, MVR and other fleet safety dataExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective training and communicate with employees at all organizational levelsStrong organizational, documentation and follow-up skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and confidentialityProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OutlookFamiliarity with fleet safety and analytics systems such as Geotab, SharePoint, Dash camera and Intelex preferredAbility to build collaborative relationships with field teams, leadership and cross-functional stakeholdersExperience conducting vehicle accident investigationsKnowledge of fleet safety best practices, insurance claims, and driver behavior managementBS in Safety Management, Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or similar preferredAbility to travel, up to 20% of the time to various locations
