Fleet MechanicUnder general supervision, maintains proficiency in areas of a Fleet Mechanic as well as duties listed in essential functions of this document.Example Of DutiesEssential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:Carry out the Sheriff's Mission and Vision and adhere to the Office's core values; Trust, Service, Community;Cultivates high morale and a Team culture;Performs all services at a high-level and is customer service oriented;Performs mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles to include but not limited to engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, axles, air conditioning, emissions systems, and exhaust;Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and Department equipment to include but not limited to oil and filter changes, replace fuel filters, tire changes and balances, brake pad and rotors, replace belts, test and/or replace batteries, replace light bulbs, and fluid flushes;Maintain sufficient inventory of parts, supplies, and tools;Maintain safe and clean work space;Manage work orders and projects in an efficient manner;Assist other team members when needed;Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this position successfully, an individual(s) must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
