Strivector's premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.Position OverviewAs a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic your roles and responsibilities will include:Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and brake system issues.Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.Perform engine, transmission, steering, suspension, and drivetrain repairs.Complete work orders accurately and maintain maintenance records using basic computer systems.Identify potential equipment failures and recommend preventive solutions.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Follow all company safety policies and maintenance procedures.Assist and mentor less experienced mechanics as needed.Respond promptly to maintenance issues to minimize vehicle downtime.QualificationsMost importantly, you need to be a passionate Fleet Maintenance Mechanic who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization.
The ideal Fleet Maintenance Mechanic would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.Minimum of 1 year of mechanic or fleet maintenance experience.Basic computer proficiency.Valid Driver's License.Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues independently.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with diesel engines.Brake Certification.Refrigerant Recovery Certification.Experience maintaining commercial trucks or fleet vehicles.Stable employment history with one or more years at recent employersCompensation: Based on Experience.
