What You'll Do:
- Safely transport and deliver engineered wood products, including LVL, I-joists, glulam beams, rim board, and structural panels.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required DOT documentation.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely using proper load securement techniques.
- Operate flatbed trailers and work with forklifts or truck-mounted forklifts (Moffett) when applicable.
- Verify delivery paperwork and maintain accurate logs and records.
- Build positive relationships by providing professional, courteous customer service at every delivery.
- Work closely with customer service, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Assist with warehouse activities when needed.
- Miscellaneous projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.
- Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
- Previous flatbed, building materials, or engineered wood delivery experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts or truck-mounted forklifts (Moffett) is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds; heavier products are handled using mechanical equipment.
- Ability to climb on and off trailers and secure loads.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and material handling equipment.
