Suntrup Automotive Group is hiring a Fixed Operations Director to lead service and parts strategy across our five-location, multi-franchise dealer group. After more than 14 years of leadership at Suntrup, our Fixed Operations Director is preparing for retirement. This search is part of a planned and thoughtful transition for one of the most important areas of our business. The next Fixed Operations Director will report directly to the President of the group and will play a central role in shaping the future of our service and parts operations.

We believe fixed operations is the long-term engine of the franchise dealership and the foundation of customer loyalty and retention. The person in this role will help define and execute our group-wide fixed operations strategy, including operational standards, profitability, customer experience, OEM performance, talent development, and fixed absorption. This is a forward-looking role. Suntrup has an internal technology and data team, and our next Fixed Operations Director will work closely with senior leadership to continue building a smarter, more data-driven service and parts operation.

What You’ll Own

  • P&L accountability for service and parts operations across all locations
  • Hiring, development, and performance management of service managers, advisors, and technicians across the group
  • Setting and enforcing process standards that drive a high-quality customer experience while maximizing efficiency and profitability across all locations
  • Maintaining strong relationships with multiple OEMs, ensuring adherence to brand standards and hitting key performance targets
  • Ongoing evaluation of where we stand versus best-in-class fixed ops departments nationally, and a clear point of view on what we should be doing differently
  • Partnering with our internal technology team to use existing data tools and actively shape what gets built next — identifying gaps, requesting new reports, and contributing ideas that make the service department smarter
  • Union contract negotiations and ongoing labor relations across our unionized stores
  • Fixed absorption targets, CSI performance, and OEM compliance across multiple brands
