Role Description The Fixed Operations Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Staten Island, NY, responsible for overseeing all service, parts, and body shop operations across the group’s brands. This role directs daily workflow and processes, ensures efficient utilization of resources, and drives profitability and operational excellence in fixed operations. The position includes managing department leaders, setting performance targets, monitoring KPIs, and implementing strategies to improve service quality, turnaround times, and parts inventory management. The Fixed Operations Director works to enhance customer satisfaction and retention by maintaining high standards of service, overseeing resolution of escalated customer concerns, and ensuring consistent adherence to brand and regulatory guidelines. The role also involves budgeting, forecasting, staff development, and collaboration with sales and leadership teams to align fixed operations with overall dealership objectives.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in Fixed Operations and service department leadership, including service, parts, and body shop management.
  • Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a track record of building positive customer experiences.
  • Experience in Operations Management, including process improvement, performance measurement, and resource optimization.
  • Proven ability in Customer Retention strategies, loyalty programs, and long-term relationship management.
  • Several years of progressive management experience in automotive dealership or related fixed operations.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and KPIs, develop action plans, and manage budgets effectively.
  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and developing diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems and standard office software; familiarity with OEM guidelines is beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
