Fiscal Advisor V

This is a highly visible fiscal leadership position in the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services' Office of Financial Services. The Fiscal Advisor V oversees accounts payable and PCard functions, supervises staff, reviews and approves financial transactions, ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, and supports GAAP reporting and reconciliations. The role requires strong planning and prioritization skills with responsibility for internal policy implementation and process improvement.

Key qualifications:

• Four years' experience compiling, analyzing and reporting on financial data for effective accounting or financial projections
• Two years' experience analyzing financial problems and advising management on solutions
• Coursework, training, or work experience in budget management and control
• Coursework, training, or work experience in staff supervision
• Knowledge of the First State Financial System (FSF) preferred
