Sanitation Associate
Location: Ligonier, Indiana
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Schedule: First Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
We are hiring a dependable Sanitation Associate to work in a busy flour production facility in Ligonier, Indiana. This position is responsible for keeping the production plant clean, safe, and sanitary throughout the workday.
The primary focus of this position is removing flour and dust from production areas using industrial vacuums and other cleaning equipment. This is an active, hands-on position for someone who does not mind getting dirty and takes pride in keeping a manufacturing facility clean.
Job Duties
Vacuum flour and dust from floors, equipment, work areas, and throughout the production facility
Clean production areas to maintain a safe and sanitary working environment
Remove flour buildup and debris from designated areas
Perform routine and detailed cleaning throughout the plant
Use industrial vacuums and other cleaning tools and equipment
Empty and maintain cleaning equipment as needed
Follow established sanitation schedules and procedures
Keep walkways, floors, and work areas clean and free of debris
Follow all food production, sanitation, and safety procedures
Assist with additional cleaning and plant duties as needed
Requirements
Must be comfortable working in a flour production environment
Must be comfortable working around flour and dust
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical cleaning throughout the shift
Must be willing to vacuum and clean for extended periods of time
Must be dependable and have good attendance
Must be able to work independently and stay productive throughout the shift
Previous industrial, manufacturing, sanitation, or janitorial experience is helpful but not required
This is a full-time first shift opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active and is comfortable performing hands-on cleaning in a busy production environment.
