Firmware EngineerRole: Firmware EngineerJob Type: Full timeLocation: Lake Forest, CARate: Open to discuss.Responsibilities• You will be a key member in the firmware development of innovative solutions, products (including products support), concepts, features and the integration of smart electronic devices.• You will be responsible for all phases of embedded firmware development.• You will be expected to work 3 days onsite in the office and 2 days remote.• You will be providing post production or software QA support.• Specific responsibilities will be associated with the design, development, integration, testing, performance assurance of firmware in support of wireless electronic device solutions.• Research new technologies and develop firmware solutions for integrating them into new innovative product, inclusive of scope, architect, design, develop, test and validate.• Investigate new features and technologies, prototyping and new product/feature ideas generation.• Work with other technical and non-technical team members to take high level project requirements into firmware specification documents, design trade-offs, risk assessments, solutions, scope/time estimates, test and execution.• Report project progress, issues, risks and potential solutions; test and manage defects to a resolution.• Other duties as required by supervisor.
