Additional duties include writing high performance, scalable & secure software to meet customer demands.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test & deploy CheckVideo firmwareDevelop in a Linux environment using source code control system and deployment pipelinesDesign and develop Kernel modules, device drivers and CMA/DMA/DSP/VCU/ GPU firmwareGain and maintain expertise in board design, BSP, SoC and peripheral control firmwareMaintain and update secure production firmware as necessaryScale and tune for performance to meet production demandFollow SDLC best practices for scalability, reliability & observabilityQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree preferredExperience: 5 + years of developing firmware for mass market on Embedded Linux stacksSDLC and programming languages: C, C++, Python, Go, Rust, Shell scriptingParallel processing: Multiprocessing, Multithreading, IPCMedia: Experience with video/audio encoding and streamingAI Training & Inference: LLM, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, PyTorch, TensorFlowSource code control systems: Git, BitbucketDev Sec Ops tools: Jenkins, Gitlab, GitOpsOperations: Strong skills in troubleshooting production issuesHelpful but not required:Experience with camera optics, ISP tuning and video processingJoin the leader in providing smarter solutions for a safer world.

Kastle's integrated security solution, including access control, video, and remote video monitoring, significantly reduces costs and improves the critically important 24x7 performance for building owners, developers and tenants.The anticipated base salary range for this position is $140,000 – $160,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors. This range reflects base pay only and may not include bonus, commission, equity, or other incentive compensation, where applicable. Actual offers are determined individually based on the candidate's qualifications and internal equity considerations.
