Our client is a leading consumer electronics manufacturer headquartered in New Jersey, dedicated to developing cutting-edge smart devices for everyday consumer use.
They are currently seeking two Embedded Firmware Engineers to bolster their R&D capability onsite in New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define product specifications and integrate firmware with overall hardware and system architecture.
- Design and develop embedded firmware for consumer electronics products, ensuring performance, power efficiency, and reliability.
- Write and debug low-level C/C++ code for microcontrollers, including drivers, bootloaders, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, BLE/Wi-Fi).
- Perform thorough analysis, simulation, and testing of firmware to ensure stability, safety, and manufacturability at scale.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Participate in design reviews, debugging sessions, and production/quality troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, RTOS environments, and debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Strong understanding of wireless communication protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee) and low-power design techniques.
- Experience with consumer product development lifecycle, from prototyping through mass production.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate with stakeholders.
