We are currently looking for a Full Time Fire Systems Supervisor to join our Fire Systems Unit 2 team located at the CNDC Facility Maintenance working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary:
The Fire Systems Supervisor is responsible for ensuring in field compliance with fire codes and regulations, fire system inspections and maintenance, and both internal teams and external vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant building operations.
Responsibilities:
* Provides direction and oversight to Fire Systems Technicians
* Manages team workload, performance, and utilization to meet organizational goals
* Conducts hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions
* Leads training, development, and continuing education initiatives for staff
* Promotes a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service
* Assists in planning, directing, and coordinating fire and life safety programs, inspections, and projects
* Monitors fire alarm systems, suppression systems, and life safety equipment
* Ensures timely completion of inspections, deficiency repairs, and maintenance activities
* Identifies, assesses, and corrects hazardous conditions across facilities
* Provides troubleshooting support and technical guidance to staff and stakeholders
* Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal fire and safety regulations
* Enforces standards including OSHA and applicable mechanical/fire codes
* Collaborates with Code and Life Safety Enforcement and regulatory authorities
* Maintains current knowledge of industry standards, technologies, and best practices
* Develops scopes of work, budgets, and cost estimates for fire deficiency repairs
* Coordinates with vendors for inspections, repairs, and system upgrades
* Manages inspection reports, deficiency tracking, and system status documentation
* Maintains accurate records, schedules, and compliance documentation
* Ensures proper maintenance and storage of equipment and vehicles
* Provides professional, responsive service to internal stakeholders and external partners
* Collaborates with Facilities, Operations, and leadership teams across departments
* Communicates effectively across all levels of the organization
* Maintains safe and organized work environments
* Subject to 24-hour emergency and inclement weather call-back
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types

- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics

* Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area

* Ability to plan, organize and follow through on assignments
* Ability to train individuals or small groups on specific tasks or procedures and engage with different learning styles
* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management

Experience:

* 7 years directly related experience with supervisory
Education:
Essential:
* High School, GED or Equivalent
Nonessential:
* Associates Degree in directly related field
Credentials:

* Pass general background check
* Standard Driver's License
* CN Core Leadership Level 1
