Financial Operations AnalystThe purpose of the Financial Operations Analyst role is to:Create timely visibility of cloud usage, cost and provide actionable insights Provide guidance on cloud cost optimization strategies and savings vehicles Educate and partner with other areas of the organization on cloud financial practices and financial responsibilities Assist IT leaders and Procurement teams with ongoing cloud vendor rate negotiations Build cloud cost models to drive strategic decision makingThis role will partner closely with our Finance Team as well as IT and business to ensure continued alignment.Essential Job Functions and Duties:30% Work closely with Technology Business Management function to provide clear cloud cost visibility and reporting across entire cloud ecosystem. Align spend to applications and application owners through cost reporting. Create and maintain budgetary alerts and thresholds (guardrails) to reduce the risk of cost overruns.25% Educate application owners, engineers, and business leaders on cloud finance and the new opportunities present within this model.
Educate application owners on financial levers available to them. Connect cost visibility reporting to available financial levers.15% Create organizational cadence for discounted commitment-based spending plans (savings plans, reserved instances, and others). Build organizational awareness for cloud optimization opportunities.20% Assist IT leaders and their teams with providing cloud cost modeling and forecasting, trending, and benefit analysis.
Identify variances to plan and proactively build solution paths for cost savings.10% Assist IT Leaders and Procurement with vendor rate negotiations and contracts. Work with cloud vendors to understand opportunities to provide additional savings for the organization.
