Finishing TechnicianFreeman Boatworks—recognized worldwide for quality, performance, and comfort—is seeking a skilled Finishing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fiberglass and gel coat repairs on hulls, decks, and small parts, helping ensure every boat meets our high standards of craftsmanship and finish.What You'll DoInspect parts and surfaces to identify required repairsRepair gel coat surface defects such as scratches, voids, and surface distortionUse grinders, sanders, buffers, drills, and other specialty tools to complete repairsMix and apply gel coat and/or resins in accordance with product specifications and safety guidelinesPerform spot gel coat spraying as neededFollow all safety protocols, material handling procedures, and disposal guidelinesWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience with gel coat and/or paint repair preferredExperience working with fiberglass or in auto body repair is a plusFamiliarity with mixing gel coats and/or paints with activatorsWorking knowledge of repair tools including sanders, buffers, and spray equipmentStrong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentPhysical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity, including but not limited to:Climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Working in awkward positions or confined spaces for extended periodsAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environmentExposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes, and occasional outdoor conditionsExposure to materials such as acetone, resin, fiberglass, putties, glues, and cleanersWhy Work Here: We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, paid time off and holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and a team-oriented environment focused on craftsmanship and innovation.Please note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
