Finishing Process OperatorReady to be part of something special? Join our Family!The individual will be responsible for the operation of the process system at Crisco manufacturing plant. This system consists of several independent sub-systems that run in conjunction with one another to provide oil to packing lines for finished product.Essential Duties:Strong interpersonal skills with ability to consistently communicate with all operatorsResponsible for updating downtime tracking sheetsAbility to trace lines for nitrogen and water systemsKnowledge of reading gaugesUnderstanding of manufacturing standardsAbility to trace lines for systems pertaining to oil, nitrogen and water including all the critical parametersMust have strong computer skills for entering and charting dataAbility to troubleshootFamiliarity or ability to gain knowledge of:Risk predictions, PPE requirements, chemical awareness, valves, tanks, mixing, vacuum pumps, 150# steam, filters/cartridgesLab related duties including Hunter color, beta carotene, brine pH and specific gravity, and fume hoodMechanically related understanding of confined space, gearbox replacement, troubleshooting techniques, rebuilding agitator and seals and/or agitation packing and reinstallingUnderstanding the differences between centrifugal pumps and positive displacement pumpsRoutine maintenance skillsSkills & Abilities:Electrically related understandings:Know and understand electrical instrumentationUnderstand a process loop (P&ID loop)Strong computer skills:Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and JD EdwardsInitiative and follow through:History of recognizing a problem (defects, loss areas), recommending a solutionHistory of effort and follow-through to deliver business resultsPriority setting:Examples of setting priorities under pressure to meet deadlines and schedulesDemonstrated ability to work effectively within a team settingEqual Employment Opportunity: B&G Foods is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
