Job Overview
A law firm seeks a midlevel associate attorney to join its Financial Services Litigation team in San Francisco. This position is ideal for candidates with at least three years of experience in complex securities and/or financial services litigation. The role offers substantial responsibility, direct client exposure, and immediate integration into active matters.
Duties
- Manage substantive aspects of complex litigation matters in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and regulatory proceedings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings.
- Handle discovery, including document review, written discovery, and witness preparation.
- Support deposition preparation, hearings, and trial strategy.
- Participate in case management, factual development, and client counseling.
- Collaborate across litigation and financial services teams on high-profile disputes and enforcement matters.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in securities and/or financial services litigation.
- Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience managing day-to-day litigation responsibilities and working directly with clients.
- Government agency experience is a plus.
- Admission to the New York or California bar required, depending on office location.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admission to the bar in relevant jurisdiction.
