Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel associate attorney to join its Financial Services Litigation team in New York. This position is ideal for candidates with at least three years of experience in complex securities and/or financial services litigation. The role offers substantial responsibility, direct client exposure, and immediate integration into active matters.

Duties

  • Manage substantive aspects of complex litigation in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and regulatory proceedings.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings.
  • Handle discovery, including document review, written discovery, and witness preparation.
  • Support deposition preparation, hearings, and trial strategy.
  • Participate in case management, factual development, and client counseling.
  • Collaborate across litigation and financial services teams on high-profile disputes and enforcement matters.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in securities and/or financial services litigation.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience managing day-to-day litigation responsibilities and working directly with clients.
  • Government agency experience is a plus.
  • Admission to the New York or California bar required, depending on office location.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York or California bar.
