Financial Restructuring & Litigation Associate
Location: New York, NY
An elite New York law firm is seeking a 3rd–6th year Associate to join its Financial Restructuring practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters within a highly regarded restructuring platform.
The role offers exposure to large-scale restructurings representing creditors, particularly secured creditors, across both transactional and litigation aspects of restructuring matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on complex financial restructuring and bankruptcy matters
- Represent secured creditors in in-court and out-of-court restructurings
- Support both transactional and litigation aspects of restructuring matters
- Draft motions, pleadings and restructuring-related documentation
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Work closely with senior attorneys and clients on high-stakes matters
Who You Are
- 3rd–6th year associate
- Experience in bankruptcy and restructuring matters at a major law firm
- Background in large restructuring matters
- Experience representing creditors, particularly secured creditors
- Exposure to both restructuring litigation and transactional work
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
Compensation
Salary Range: $235,000 – $365,000 (DOE)
