We are seeking an experienced financial reporting professional to join our team and play a key role in overseeing accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across a complex, international organization. This position will work closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support reporting requirements, accounting initiatives, audits, and continuous improvements to financial processes.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, international reporting experience, and the ability to effectively communicate complex accounting matters to both finance and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the preparation, review, and consolidation of quarterly and annual financial results using financial consolidation and reporting systems.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of SEC-style financial statements and other external reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyses that support internal management needs and external reporting obligations.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of annual and periodic external audits, serving as a key point of contact with independent auditors.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Merchandise, and other business functions to gather information, resolve accounting matters, and support reporting and audit activities.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements for multiple domestic and international legal entities under various accounting frameworks, including US GAAP, IFRS, GASB, and other applicable standards.
  • Partner with the Director to oversee financial reporting activities, including US GAAP and IFRS compliance and international accounting requirements.
  • Ensure financial reporting is completed accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Prepare financial covenant calculations and supporting analyses.
  • Evaluate differences between local statutory accounting standards and US GAAP for international operations.
  • Monitor new and emerging accounting and disclosure requirements across applicable GAAPs and assess their potential impact on the organization.
  • Prepare technical accounting documentation and memoranda outlining accounting conclusions, policy positions, and the financial impact of new standards.
  • Support the preparation of financial information and materials for quarterly investor communications and calls.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline reporting processes, improve efficiencies, and strengthen overall accounting operations.
  • Develop, document, and maintain corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support the recruitment, development, coaching, and performance management of financial reporting team members.
  • Maintain effective financial reporting systems and controls to protect data integrity and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, US GAAP, and IFRS requirements.
  • Develop a strong understanding of key business and operational drivers and how they influence financial performance.
  • Promote a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to identifying risks, opportunities, and potential business challenges.
  • Apply industry best practices to improve the collection, analysis, and communication of financial data and trends.
  • Build strong partnerships across the organization, working collaboratively to reach consensus and develop practical business solutions.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Active CPA license or equivalent professional accounting certification required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in international accounting and financial reporting.
  • Public accounting experience with a Big Four accounting firm strongly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of both US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Demonstrated experience with international accounting and reporting across multiple legal entities within a large multinational organization.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements under multiple accounting frameworks, including US GAAP, IFRS, GASB, and applicable local statutory standards.
  • Strong technical accounting and analytical capabilities, with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical, business-focused solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex accounting topics clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working with financial reporting and enterprise platforms such as Workiva and Workday.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, anticipate challenges, and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive improvements across the organization.
