Financial Reporting Manager-PSA

The Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice seeks a Financial Reporting Manager to plan, organize, and direct financial review functions and special projects in the Springfield office. The role involves preparing financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP and GASB standards, reconciling accounts, and ensuring adherence to fiscal controls and state accounting policies. The incumbent will work under administrative direction and collaborate with departmental managers on accounting and fiscal matters.

Key qualifications

• Illinois Certified Public Accountant license required
• Four years of college with coursework in accounting, auditing, finance, business, or public administration
• Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in accounting, external auditing, or budgetary planning for a public or business organization
• Three years of experience with GAAP, GASB, and financial statement preparation and analysis
• Three years of experience with accounting systems such as SAMS or ERP/SAP
