I’m partnered with a well-established, publicly traded REIT in Orlando on a new Financial Reporting Manager hire. This organization has a strong national footprint and is known for its stable portfolio, long-term growth strategy, and collaborative finance leadership team.
This is a high-impact role responsible for leading external reporting, ensuring compliance with SEC requirements, and supporting technical accounting initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They are looking for a strong senior ready to step into a management seat to oversee the functions and one direct report.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, and related disclosures)
- Oversee financial statement preparation in accordance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards
- Research and resolve complex accounting matters, including drafting position memos
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to gather and validate financial data for reporting purposes
- Drive improvements in reporting processes, controls, and documentation
- Support external audit activities and serve as a key liaison with auditors
- Assist with implementation of new accounting standards and ensure ongoing compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred/plus - not required)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience (public accounting, industry or a mix)
- Experience with SEC reporting and/or technical accounting
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-moving environment
