A large global media/advertising organization is looking to hire a Financial Reporting Manager to join its Jersey City team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys a review-focused role, financial reporting, managing offshore resources, and partnering with senior finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial reporting and close activities across multiple business units
- Review work completed by an offshore accounting team and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages, account reconciliations, journal entries, fixed assets, and related analysis
- Maintain strong financial controls and support SOX compliance
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors
- Partner with finance leadership and serve as an escalation point for accounting and reporting matters
- Monitor service levels, deadlines, and quality standards
- Support process improvement, standardization, and finance transformation initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience out of the media/advertising industry
- Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Experience overseeing or working with shared services/offshore accounting teams is highly desirable
- ERP experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
