Join a high-performing Financial Reporting team responsible for the preparation, review, and delivery of fund financial statements, shareholder reports, annual audits, and SEC filings across a diverse range of investment vehicles. This role serves as a technical subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP, fund accounting, financial reporting, and derivative investments while helping ensure accurate, timely client deliverables.
This is a long term contract that is hybrid 3 days per week in Chicago
Key Responsibilities
- Review fund financial statements, schedules of investments, and shareholder reports for registered and non-registered funds.
- Coordinate annual and semi-annual reporting cycles, audits, and SEC filing requirements.
- Partner with clients, auditors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance on U.S. GAAP, ASC 815/820, derivatives, and complex investment products.
- Support staff development and oversee reporting workflows, deadlines, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of financial reporting experience within asset management, financial services, or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, fund financial statements, SEC filings, and derivatives.
- Prior experience reviewing financial reports and supporting external audits.
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
- Experience with Bloomberg, Global InvestOne, and financial reporting systems is a plus.
- Rate around 50-60/hr
