This position utilizes a formal process for appropriate data gathering, consolidation and analysis of financial data relative to the preparation of internal reports (monthly financial package) and external reports (SEC filings, including but not limited to 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statements and the annual report).This role also involves:running reports and preparing journal entries for stock-based compensationassisting in statutory reporting for foreign subsidiariesResponsibilities:compiles supporting documentation for disclosures included in various SEC filings, assists in XBRL tagging and helps draft disclosuresruns reports from the financial accounting system (Oracle/ESmartview) to prepare supporting documentation for financial statements and earnings materials. Assists team in working with external auditors and helps provide supporting documentation to respond to audit requestsinternal reporting – assists in preparing monthly financial packageprepares journal entries related to stock based compensation; assists in administration of company stock plans (equity grants, ESPP purchases)assists in preparation of foreign subsidiary statutory financial reporting and other tasks as requiredRequirements:Bachelors' Degree in Finance, Accounting or a Business-related degree, or equivalent work experience2+ years relevant experience in accounting, preferably at a Big 4 or other national accounting firmWorking experience in MS ExcelCPA preferredThis position is based in Reston, VA and offers a hybrid work schedule.The pay range is $74,500 - $100,700.The anticipated base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.Verisign is an equal opportunity employer.
