Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

FP&A Manager

Our client, a financial services firm, is seeking an FP&A Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting, and to give senior leadership the analysis it needs to make decisions on growth, cost and capital. They are in the office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage the annual budget and periodic forecasts, working with business line leaders and finance partners
• Build and maintain financial models that track revenue, expenses, profitability and key performance indicators
• Analyze monthly results against budget and prior periods, and explain the drivers behind variances
• Prepare management reporting and presentations for senior leadership, the executive committee and the board
• Track expense trends, identify cost drivers and recommend efficiency opportunities
• Support strategic initiatives, new business evaluation and ad hoc analysis for senior management
• Improve planning and reporting processes through automation, better data quality and system enhancements
• Supervise, train and develop junior analysts

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance or management reporting, ideally in banking, asset management, insurance or another financial services setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; CPA, CFA or MBA a plus
• Strong understanding of accounting principles xhqgsiq and financial statements
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, plus polished PowerPoint presentation skills
• Experience with planning or reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive, Power BI or Tableau) is a plus
• Clear written and verbal communicator who can present to senior leaders
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience managing or mentoring staff preferred
