FP&A ConsultantA growing advisory practice within a national accounting and consulting firm is seeking an experienced FP&A Consultant to support middle-market clients with financial planning, analysis, and decision support. This role works closely with client leadership teams to improve financial reporting, forecasting, and operational insights.The position is designed for finance professionals who enjoy combining technical financial analysis with client-facing advisory work. You will partner with multiple organizations to strengthen their FP&A capabilities, build financial models, and deliver insights that support strategic business decisions.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and improve financial planning and analysis processes for client organizationsBuild and maintain financial models supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planningPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for client leadershipPerform variance analysis and identify operational and financial performance driversCreate dashboards and reporting tools using platforms such as Power BI or similar visualization toolsWork with ERP systems and financial data platforms to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiencyPartner with client management teams to interpret financial results and provide recommendationsSupport strategic planning initiatives through scenario modeling and financial analysisPresent financial insights and reporting outputs to internal and client stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field6+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis, or advisory rolesStrong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting experienceAdvanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysisExperience with business intelligence or visualization tools such as Power BI or TableauFamiliarity with ERP systems and financial reporting platformsAbility to work with large data sets and translate analysis into clear business insightsStrong communication skills and ability to work directly with leadership teamsCPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus but not requiredWhat This Role OffersExposure to a wide range of industries and business models through client engagementsOpportunity to work directly with CFOs and executive leadership teamsDevelopment of advisory and consulting experience within a finance functionA collaborative team environment with strong mentorship and professional developmentLocations / Work ModelAnn Arbor, MichiganGrand Rapids, MichiganTroy, MichiganHybrid work model based out of one of the firm's Michigan offices.Spartan Placements is an equal opportunity employer.
