Job Summary
The Financial Operations Staff will be working directly with community management and the larger operations team to ensure smooth operation of manufactured housing communities owned by HOA. This position will also play a key role in setting up, operating and managing all communities within an assigned portfolio cluster. This position requires a highly motivated and organized team player with strong communication skills. The Financial Operations staff needs to be able to thrive in a fast paced environment where responsibilities will change frequently based on the needs of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the initial setup of acquired communities in rental software (Rent Manager) as well as the integration of newly hired community personnel.
- Provide IT support and assistance as well as troubleshoot issues as they arrive.
- Assist the Utilities Manager in tracking, analyzing, and optimizing utility expenses across communities, ensuring accurate billing, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Handle resident account reconciliations and questions that arise from payment issues.
- Handle all administrative operations issues as well as assisting with rental assistance applications.
- Work closely with and train community and operations personnel on day-to-day operations.
- Analysis and payment of key expenses, such as property taxes, state and local taxes, property insurance, etc.
- Support multiple teams, such as the accounting, financing and tax personnel with various ad hoc requests.
- Maintenance and knowledge of key documents, such as formation documents, foreign registrations as well as operating agreements.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time-management skills, and ability to adhere to deadlines
- Strong knowledge of Excel is a must (large data sets/filters/pivot tables/lookups)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting a strong plus, but not required
- Real estate experience a strong plus, but not required
