Financial Manager

MLC Recruitment is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of a busy medical practice. This individual will play a key role in managing billing, payroll, accounts payable, and general accounting functions while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established financial procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent organizational skills, and extensive hands-on experience with QuickBooks. Experience working in a healthcare or medical practice environment is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations, with a primary focus on medical billing, payroll, and accounts payable.
• Manage billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Process and oversee payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely payment to employees.
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense tracking.
• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reviews.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and outstanding payments.
• Prepare financial reports and provide management with updates on the practice's financial performance.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and overall efficiency.
• Ensure financial practices follow applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in general accounting and financial operations.
• Strong, hands-on experience with QuickBooks required.
• Previous experience managing billing, payroll, and accounts payable.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Medical practice or healthcare industry experience preferred.
