Managing a call queue, the full-time remote Financial Counselor PAR I will support patients by initiating financial assistance applications, handling self-pay accounts, processing payments, and addressing billing inquiries related to patient accounts. Key responsibilities Initiate financial assistance applications and set up payment arrangements for patients Process payments and manage billing inquiries for both hospital and physician billing Deliver account status updates and investigate potential payment resources for patients and insurance companies Required qualifications High School Diploma/GED Minimum three (3) years' experience in a healthcare setting focused on physician/hospital collections or financial counseling Experience with insurance verification and physician/hospital collections Proficiency in mathematical calculations and analysis techniques Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
