Must Haves:

  • 5-7+ years of Revenue Cycle experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Previous leadership/supervisory experience
  • Strong people management and operational oversight experience


Plusses:

  • Medicaid enrollment/application experience

  • Financial counseling experience within healthcare
  • Experience working with hospital billing or hospital-based revenue cycle operations
  • Knowledge of Financial Assistance programs and Federal Poverty Level (FPL) guidelines


Day-to-Day:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Financial Counseling team
  • Manage and support a team of approximately 18 staff members
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures
  • Handle staff management, scheduling, and timekeeping responsibilities
  • Monitor work queues and operational performance metrics
  • Guide patients through Medicaid enrollment and local DSS assistance programs
  • Support patients seeking financial assistance resources
  • Document patient interactions and updates within systems
  • Partner with Care Management and Social Work teams
  • Assist with implementation and utilization of FPL tables and financial assistance processes
  • Lead team initiatives through ongoing organizational and revenue cycle changes
  • Support upcoming EPIC enhancements, including Financial Assistance module implementation
  • Drive change management efforts and maintain operational continuity across evolving workflows
