Overview
Lead accounting and finance operations for a mission-driven architecture and design firm with deep roots in the Sacramento and Bay Area. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced Controller, Senior Accountant, or Accounting Manager with AEC industry background who enjoys both strategic finance and day-to-day accounting.

Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT
- Oversee all aspects of project-based accounting in a collaborative, creative studio.
- Partner with leadership on financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Drive accurate job cost tracking and compliance for design and construction contracts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage GL, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close; prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
- Maintain GAAP compliance and internal controls.
- Provide financial analysis to support operations and strategy.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years in a senior accounting leadership role.
- AEC industry experience required.
- Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint a plus; strong ERP and Excel skills.
On-site role in Davis, CA — no remote or hybrid.
