Our company is built on quality workmanship, reliability, and strong relationships with general contractors and developers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to strengthen our financial operations and support our long-term business goals.

Role Description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Financial Controller to oversee the company's financial and accounting operations.

This role will work closely with executive leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong financial controls, manage cash flow, and provide meaningful financial insights to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial professional who can manage accounting operations while maintaining a broader perspective on the company's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage cash flow, cash forecasting, and working capital requirements.
• Develop and maintain company budgets, financial forecasts, and performance reports.
• Monitor job costing, project profitability, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and financial performance across construction projects.
• Supervise accounting personnel and ensure accuracy and accountability within the accounting department.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
• Coordinate with external CPAs, banks, insurance providers, and other financial partners.
• Oversee financial reporting requirements related to banking relationships and credit facilities.
• Support year-end financial reporting, tax preparation, and audit or review processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting systems, and operational efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership to support strategic planning and business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Experience in construction accounting, including job costing and WIP reporting, strongly preferred.
• Foundation Software: Meister Concrete utilizes Foundation Software for its construction accounting and financial management. Previous experience with Foundation Software is preferred but not required. Candidates must be comfortable learning new systems and willing to become proficient in the software.
• Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience managing accounting teams and coordinating with external financial professionals.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet financial reporting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with company ownership and senior management.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

Pay

• $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
