Financial Controller (Construction Industry)Target Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 DOE Location: Lutz, FL 33548Why This Opportunity Stands Out:- Lead accounting and financial operations across five growing business entities with direct exposure to executive leadership.- Play a strategic role in driving profitability, cash flow, project performance, and scalable growth initiatives.- Manage and mentor an established accounting team while influencing process improvements and automation projects.- Gain broad responsibility across accounting, HR, payroll, compliance, risk management, and operational finance.- Join a stable, expanding organization in the construction and infrastructure services sector with strong visibility and impact.Key Responsibilities for the Financial Controller:- Oversee financial reporting, month-end close, cash flow management, and multi-entity accounting operations.- Manage AIA billing, accounts receivable, collections, job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.- Lead payroll, HR administration, compliance, insurance programs, and risk management activities.- Partner with project managers and operations leaders to improve project profitability, forecasting, and financial performance.- Direct accounts payable, vendor management, contract administration, and intercompany accounting across multiple entities.Qualifications for the Financial Controller:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with construction or service-contracting organizations.- Strong hands-on experience with AIA billing, job costing, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and multi-entity accounting.- Advanced QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel skills, including financial reporting and data analysis functions.
