Financial Controller

Our client, Cleveland, TN is looking for a Site Financial Controller to join their team.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Participate in decision making process by assessing purchasing activity
• Oversee Production and dissemination of monthly and annual financial reports
• Maintain and manage of an adequate system of accounting records
• Accurately forecast relevant operations on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
• Develop annual budget in coordination with all relevant business partners
• Oversee maintenance and enforcement of established controls designed to mitigate financial reporting risk
• Proactively analyze current and forecast information to optimize financial performanceProviding and communicating financial analysis and recommendations to management (sales, expenses, product mix)
• Oversee benchmarking, standardization and process improvement initiatives
• Monitor the accuracy of the company's reported financial results
• Ensure that reported results comply with accounting standards for public enterprises
• Monitor provision of timely information for audits and other inquiries
• Analysis of standard product costing system and related improvements
• Oversee and audit physical inventory counts and monitor cycle count program
• Direct Month end close of the General Ledger
• Contribute to team effort by collaborating with other site controllers and management
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• 4-6 years accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to use data whenever possible to drive your decisions, use of your strong analytical skills to translate data into action planning.
• Able to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient with ERP software, preferably Epicor CMS, and Microsoft Office
• CPA Credentials
• Prior management experience
