Financial Controller (Based in Austin, TX)We are representing an established full-service Architecture, Engineering, and Interior Design firm is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting function and partner with firm leadership on financial strategy and operations.What You’ll DoLead and mentor a small accounting team (AP/Payroll & Project Accountant)Oversee month-end / year-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting (including KPIs)Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flowCoordinate with leadership on key financial decisions and project reportingOversee payroll, banking, insurance renewals, and tax coordinationDrive process improvements and strengthen internal controlsWhat You’ll BringBachelors in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)10+ years progressive accounting experience (GL, AR/AP, budgeting, forecasting)Strong Excel + ERP skills (Deltek VantagePoint a plus)Background in project-based or professional services firms idealProactive, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environmentLocation: Austin, TX (on-site) Salary: Up to $170K Relocation: Candidates willing to relocate to Austin are preferred
