Vaco Atlanta is currently representing a really exciting employer in the metro Atlanta area that is in high growth mode on a financial controller position that is on-site. This is a company in the commercial real estate and development industry.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of real estate financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions
- Ensure integrity of financial data and compliance with GAAP
- Prepare financial statements
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Collaborate with property management, leasing, and development teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of technical experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles, including CAM reconciliations, lease accounting, and property management software (Yardi strongly preferred, or MRI).
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
