Financial Control AnalystNomura's Finance Control team, in the Americas, is looking for an Analyst to join the team. The candidate will focus on the monthly close process, quarterly reporting, and annual financial statements for the investment management business. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual with an understanding of US GAAP reporting and a desire to work in a high volume and results oriented environment.Job Responsibilities:Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesSupport external auditsAssist with preparing annual financial statementsAnalyze variances and identifying discrepanciesInvestigate and resolving accounting issues independentlyAssist with ad hoc analysis and projectsSkills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required:1-3 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role, preferably in financial services or a related industryBachelor's degree in accounting or finance from accredited college/universityStrong technical accounting skillsPublic accounting experience is a plusExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsOrganized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlinesExcellent analytics, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAdvanced in MS Office particularly in ExcelApplicants for this position in the Finance Division of NHA must be currently authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
